Do you love city trips and like to camp with a tent, caravan or camper?
City Camping Antwerp is located in a quiet area next to the marina of Linkeroever, the left bank of Antwerp. When you cross the river named Schelde through the iconic voetgangerstunnel or by ferry, you can reach the historic centre in no time. The camping is perfectly located for a visit to De Grote Markt, De kathedraal, De Groenplaats and all the other must sees of Antwerp.
With our 34 camper spots, 45 large spots for tents & caravans, 14 hikers spots and 2 Glamping tents, there is no reason to postpone your visit to Antwerp.
We have 20 bicycles available on the camping that you can rent for only €2 a day. You can also use our equipment for free so you can repair your own bike or inflate your tyre (we do not have any spare parts in stock).
CROSSING TO ANTWERP CITY CENTER
At less then a km from the camping a free ferry for pedestrians and cyclists connects the left and right bank of Antwerp. The ferry sails from the jetty at Frederik Van Eedenplein to the pontoon near Steenplein. You can find the timetable here.
If you continue another 500 metres past the ferry jetty at Frederik Van Eedenplein, you will reach the entrance of the historic voetgangerstunnel. You can enter the unique tunnel on both the right and the left bank on foot or by bike using the authentic wooden escalators carefully.
PLAYGROUND & SKATEPARK
Next to the camping there is a modern and safe playground for the little ones. The older children can have fun at the large skate park.
Outdoor Swimming pool De Molen is located right next to the camping. The 50-metre heated pool also includes a children's pool, a large relaxing area and an elevator for wheelchair users.
FOOD & DRINKS
You can enjoy the best mussels in town at De Plage, the city beach of Antwerp. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the city camping.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Werkmmaat vzw, the manager of the campsite, is a social-economic enterprise where the long-term unemployed can prepare themselves with the necessary guidance for a sustainable job in the ordinary business world.
Our Glamping tents are made of sustainable 100% cotton by a Belgian company with the "Seal of Cotton" label.
On the camping, we collect rainwater from the roofs to water our herb boxes. The herbs in these planters are freely available to our guests.... Need some chives for your dish? Don't worry, we have it fresh.
The sanitary facilities are cleaned twice a day with good and environmentally friendly products.
